Position Information:

  • The salesperson is directly responsible for selling used vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Realize that the business is built on customer satisfaction and devote himself to guaranteeing satisfaction to customers.
  • Determine each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening
  • Demonstrate new vehicles to customers. This process ensures that the customer understands the vehicles operating features, warranty and paper work, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty.
  • Attend sales meetings
  • Attend training sessions required by Chrysler for dealership.
  • Strive to maintain Sales Satisfaction Index.
  • Maintain a owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction. Initiate first contact after sale within one week.
  • Document and consistently report back to management any customer feedback good or bad and any complaints and how it is resolved.
  • Maintain a prospect development system.
  • Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
  • Establish personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, devise a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Report to the New-Vehicle Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analysis.
  • Review and analyze actions at the end of each day week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
  • Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the product.
  • Know and understand equity and values, and be able to explain depreciation to the customer.
  • Know and understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail sales
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to customers the quality and efficiency of the dealerships service operations.
  • Submit paperwork to and obtain approval from finance sources on all finance deals.
  • In winter help with snow removal and what is required to keep the lot serviceable to our customers.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or the equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Valid in-state driver’s license. Professional personal appearance. Excellent communications skills. Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards. Follow necessary steps to become certified if not already.

Working Conditions:

  • Will stand and move throughout the dealership facility (lot, showroom, service department, offices) for most of the shift. Will spend time outdoors showing vehicles to prospective customers and to drive vehicles in traffic during test drives. Evenings, holiday and weekend work hours will be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
